Remal Public School has certain ethics and every parent is advised to follow the code of conduct as under:

1. Child’s Well-being and Discipline

  • Encourage and sensitize the child about the importance of observing school rules.
  • Work in collaboration with the school to bring out the best in the child.
  • Intimate the school about medical history and details of medication and allergy (if any).
  • Ensure that the child does not bring any electronic device to the school.
  • Spend time with the child and help him/her pack school bag or material required for activities in school.
  • Assist and guide the child in the timely completion of home assignments and projects.
  • Develop independence and appreciation for quality homework.
  • Encourage and motivate the child to participate in school activities and events with full enthusiasm and gusto.
  • Send healthy and balanced meals in school lunch. Also, ensure that the child has had adequate sleep, is well rested and had breakfast in the morning.
  • Send the child in a clean and proper school uniform along with the I-Card.
  • A child suffering from an infectious or contagious disease should join school only after the mandatory period of quarantine.
  • Do not send your ward to school on the day of the cycle test midterm exam if he/she is not well.

2. Interaction with the school

  • Contact the class teacher in case the child is unable to resolve a problematic situation.
  • Bring to the notice of the class teacher any case of bullying or abuse.
  • Ensure that the almanac is carried by your ward to the school every day. Check the almanac for any entries from the school. Also, use the almanac for any communication with the school.
  • Parents are requested to ensure that the telephone number in school records is operational to facilitate smooth correspondence. Do inform the school regarding any change in your address and telephone number(s). Your contact information is of vital importance for the safety of the learners.
  • Please check the school website/Class WhatsApp groups/Emails regularly for notifications and updates.
  • Personal messages should not be sent in the WhatsApp group of your ward's class and the protocol should be maintained.
  • On regular working days, you may meet the concerned teacher by prior appointment at the reception, if the matter requires immediate attention.

3. Attendance and Leave Policies

  • Leave applications should be sent in advance or with the child when he/she joins school after the leave period. Absence from the school should be furnished with proper documents/doctor's fitness certificate or any other appropriate document.
  • In an academic session, 75% attendance is compulsory. If found short of attendance, the learner shall not be promoted to the next class. No separate reminder will be sent to the parents/learners in this regard.
  • Please do not promote your ward to take leave on or one day before assessment days. Short/half day leave on assessment day will lead to cancellation of the assessment.
  • Arrange for your ward to reach the school in time, at least 5 minutes before the school begins. The children reporting later than the stipulated reporting time on regular school days will be sent back home.

4. Parental Conduct and Responsibilities

  • Act respectfully to teachers, administrators, other parents, and learners.
  • Carry a Parent l-card on every visit to the school.
  • You are requested to dress up decently when visiting the school to meet the teachers. We will not appreciate half-pants.
  • Be courteous to the school staff and polite in your interaction with anyone in the school.
  • Do not discuss the matters related to the institution/teachers in a derogatory manner in the presence of your child. Always try to encourage positivity.
  • Regular medical checkup is undertaken by the school Medical Officer. Parents are requested to do the follow up (if any).
